Meet the new charger 20

A premium 20" hardtail for 6–8 year olds ready to level up their trail riding. With 100 mm RST air suspension, a lightweight, dropper-ready frame and sealed bolt-thru wheels, it delivers control, comfort and confidence on rough terrain. Grippy 2.35" Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres and a Shimano CUES 9-speed drivetrain with a new 110 mm chainset keep them pedalling efficiently and glued to the trail – perfect for ambitious young riders who want to go further, faster.

A performance-optimised aluminium frame

The Charger 20’s butted alloy tubes are engineered to stay strong at key stress points while shedding weight everywhere else, so kids get a light bike that can still take big hits. Threaded thru-axles boost stiffness, sliding dropouts let you fine-tune fit and handling as they grow, and internal routing with dropper-post readiness keeps everything clean and future-proof.

Long, low and slack

The Charger 20’s trail-first geometry is tuned for speed, control and confidence when things get gnarly. A low centre of gravity keeps them planted in berms, a slack head angle calms steep descents, and short seat stays give the bike a playful, responsive feel that makes popping manuals and changing lines feel natural.

A no-fuss, full-gas chainset

The Charger 20’s single-ring setup and 110 mm cranks deliver rare pedalling efficiency, safety and performance for this size. The narrow-wide chainring keeps the chain securely in place and saves weight, so progressive young riders can focus fully on the trail, not on their drivetrain.

Anatomically designed cockpit

Sized just right for growing riders, it keeps steering precise and controlled, while lock-on grips stop hands slipping in wet, muddy conditions so they stay confident and in command.

Big kid forks, little kid bike

The Charger 20 runs 100 mm of tough RST F1RST air suspension, giving young rippers the same tunable performance you’d expect on bigger bikes. With adjustable air, compression and rebound, you can dial in the fork to their weight, terrain and skill level, so it’s always ready for whatever they throw at it.

Lightweight, adjustable brakes

Tektro hydraulic discs deliver smooth, predictable braking with plenty of adjustability for growing hands. The 160 mm rotors give bold young riders the confidence to go hard, knowing they can stop harder when it counts.

A Shimano CUES 1x9 drivetrain

Robust, efficient and low-maintenance, it keeps things simple without sacrificing performance. With smooth, light-action shifting, great durability and a weight-saving single-ring setup, it’s the kind of proven drivetrain riders trust to just work, ride after ride.

MTB wheels that go hard

Fully sealed hubs, double-wall rims and an optimised spoke count, wrapped in super-grippy Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres, make these wheels ready to rip. Sealed bearings shrug off mud and water, double-wall rims inspire confidence over rocks and roots, and thru-axles add stiffness while keeping tyre changes easy.
