In addition to the convenient taillight, the R2 bike helmet is built to withstand an impact, providing necessary protection thanks to an in-mold polycarbonate shell. The helmet is lined with removable and washable inner padding, a smooth nylon chin strap, and a spin lock, all for superior protection and a secure fit.

Sena’s Bluetooth Intercom technology allows for up to 4 riders to connect and chat from helmet to helmet at a range of just over a half-mile (900 meters). When connecting with just one other rider, users will experience HD intercom quality.

Audio is delivered through built-in speakers located just above the ears, which allows for awareness of surrounding sounds such as traffic, unlike in-ear buds. Located in the front of the helmet is a seamlessly integrated microphone that features Sena's patented Advanced Noise Control
