EAT NEARBY

TABERNINHA DO MANEL
A 2 minute walk from CICLO where you can eat traditional Portuguese dishes and also tapas. If you can, go for the terrace that will allow you to feel the sun with a privileged view over the old Porto that, day, or night, invites calm and relaxed contemplation.

MERCADO DA BEIRA-RIO
A range of choices in one location with 16 dining options. We recommend the Pasta or the Seafood rice restaurants. Piadina if you’re into sharing and eating with your hands. Finish with a coffee and a brownie in Brigadão.

TAPPAS CAFFÉ REGIONAL
Hidden behind the tourist streets, you will find this traditional Francesinha restaurant. The best place nearby to eat our famous “sandwich.” Make sure you bring cash, as it is the only payment method available.

VISIT

Visiting a Port Wine Cellar will allow you to sample unique Port wines, difficult to find elsewhere.

Avoid the prevalent trap of going for the entry and best-selling tour and ask for a premium tour - you will have the same 45min storytelling journey about the origins and history of Port Wine, but you will sample the best Port Wines of each brand/cellar.

Go for the ’20s, ’30s, and 40’s aged wines, or an old Vintage, and skip the tawny, ruby, or young whites you can find anywhere.

GRAHAM’S
With the opportunity to visit the most prestigious vintage room guided by an expert while tasting unique and rare Port Wines, this cellar provides an unforgettable experience in a premium and romantically curated setting.

CÁLEM
The most touristic of all, but the only who provides a Port wine tasting with Fado mini concert. It’s a great way to kill two birds at once, but if they don’t have availability for the last tour of the day with Fado, better to skip this cellar.

VASQUES DE CARVALHO
Not a cellar, but a hidden-gem of a family-run company offering incredible value. If you enjoy wine and want to have in-depth conversations with knowledgeable staff, go there. - highly regarded.

visit

WOW is a 100 million euro charismatic and well-achieved project offering a breathtaking view of Porto and a place to visit five museums and five restaurants for fine dining.

If you're in Porto to truly experience the city, there's no better vantage point than WOW's terrace. Accessible for a casual stroll, but elevates the experience with fine dining and drinks – worth the price.

If you appreciate Italian cuisine, seek out PIP, their Italian family restaurant in the adjacent building – an excellent choice for lunch or dinner away from the tourist-filled streets along the riverside.

If you spot us on their private terrace enjoying a Port Tonic in the evening, feel free to join us.

visit

Torre Clérigos
One of the highest points in Porto, offering a 360º view of the city.
Your weekly routine includes climbing 240 steps to reach the top, but it's definitely worth it.
Along the way, explore small rooms filled with tons of history. You can also visit the museum and the church, the latter from a unique perspective as you pass behind the cross and witness where the chorus sings.

Sé Catedral
Our cathedral, dating back to the 12th century, marks the beginning of the city as we know it.
Situated in the first main square of the city, inside you'll find a stunning gothic cloister adorned with lovely tiles, along with the cathedral itself and a walk up to the towers.

EXPLORE

Porto can be seen from a different perspective with an electric bicycle!

You can visit places that a car or a bus can’t take you, stop anytime and anywhere you please, always in control of your path.

Most importantly, you will have fun and smile all the time, especially when going up on our hilly Porto and realizing how effortless it is!

ciclo-ebikes.com | Porto Highlights Tour | Sunset

SUNSET

Jardim do Morro, closer to our first stop during the tour, is also a highly recommended spot for enjoying the sunset view in Porto. During this time, it tends to get crowded, especially with Brazilians, from whom we Portuguese can learn a thing or two about celebrating life. Anticipate outdoor music and a garden filled with people chilling out.

Grab a glass of wine at the nearby 'snack bar' and await the epic moment that will linger in your memory!

RECOMMENDATIONS

We took some time to curate a list of places you might want to go.

Porto has grown from a small town to a European city full of tourism, attracting new investments in all areas.

It’s hard to keep track of all the places, but we keep updating our recommendations.

We hope you will like it :)
